1. Where does your information come from and is it your personal
experience?
|
| "This
is what I told my 80 year old Father: 'Dad, my information
is born of my wanting to know, not of my experiences."
Culturally, people assume that anyone who knows about sex
must be doing it a lot. This is a common misconception. If
I did 10% of what people think I've done, I'd have time to
do nothing else. Information shared in my books and seminars
is based on 18 years of study, 10 years of women's/men's sexuality
seminars, and 11 years as a volunteer on the ground breaking
Cedars-Sinai Aids/HIV Center."
|
2.Are you a Sex Therapist?
|
| "No.
I am an AASECT (American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors
and Therapists) Certified Sex Educator. I provide solutions
to those who are willing and interested in advancing their
understanding and experiences in sexuality and intimacy. I
remind all participants and readers that information I provide
is not provided because there is something wrong or that something
needs to be fixed. And as a Certified Sex Educator, I provide
information based in a foundation of researched data |
3.How did all of this get started? |
| I went looking
for the information for myself as I was leaving a relationship.
What I wanted was hot, fun, and safe information that REALLY
worked. One night, my girlfriend insisted I share what I learned
with her friends who wanted to know. From this the seminars
were born. That was 10 years ago. The books were born from
suggestions from seminar participants |
4.What was your motivation to find this out yourself?
|
| My belief
is…we are all born of sex and it is one of the most
natural things about human beings. I was certain I wasn't
the only one who wanted to know more, so I knew the information
had to be out there. I quickly scanned the typical sources;
adult industry films and picture books didn't give the REAL
information I wanted. I wanted to know where people put their
hands, their tongues, their toes, and the real details. So
I started asking friends what they did that worked. Rationale…if
I had my favorites, then so did others. Who better to tell
me what worked than someone who knows what worked for them?
It is like expanding a buffet of ideas without having to put
your mind, your body or your relationship in jeopardy |
5.Why are you considered the expert? |
| The amount
of information I have collected and waded through is monumental.
In addition to this hard data, I have a pulse on the most
current anecdotal information direct from people who have
attended the seminars. These resources combined provide me
an unparalleled viewpoint on what is actually happening in
many spheres of sexuality |
6.Who is buying your books? What do people say they get from
them?
|
The
demographics of who buys the books are as broad as there are
people who are interested in sexuality. There are also groups
of people who are progressive, open, willing and interested
in advancing their understanding and experiences in sexuality
and intimacy. Let me share what readers have told me:
"I never thought I would find a book that would give
me what I had been looking for, it is all there."
"Your books are straight forward, and direct while being
lady-like, quite a combo."
"You saved my sister's marriage."
"We hold you completely responsible for our beautiful
baby girl."
"What you say is often so subtle, and the impact hits
long after I've read it."
"Your books gave me the permission to talk to my husband
about what I'd like to try, the validation of what I already
knew, and then there are the options of what we both can try
…it really never ends."
|
7.You say it's based on the seminars…who goes to your
seminars? How often do you do the seminars and where are they
held?
|
The
seminar attendees are similar to those who buy the book. The
only difference would be there are more women partly because
there is more interest in Ladies seminars. The seminars are
held approximately every two months in Los Angles and nationally
and internationally at least twice a year. Seminars have been
held throughout North America, Europe and Australia.
|
8.What do you do in the Sexuality Seminars? |
The confidential
seminars are hands-on instructional events with a focus on
providing manual and oral techniques that can expand the current
sexual repertoire, as well as any discussion direction participants
prefer, whether it be positions, current new adult products,
G spot stimulation, female ejaculation, multiple orgasms (hers
and his) or "Why do they do that?" This is the place
as many women and men have said, "Finally a place where
I can ask ALL those questions I've been dying to know and
couldn't find the info."
|
9.What does your family think?
|
| My family
thinks simply that this is what I do. Actually one of the
most rewarding things for me is that in spite of the tough
road it took to get here, my family sees me happy and fulfilled
and they are very proud of what I have accomplished. My younger
sister's response to asking how I got into this is, "She
has always been like that, ask her something and she will
somehow know the simplest way to tell you how to do it."
|
10.What is next?
|

Expanding to different seminar markets, more international marketing opportunities as my books are in 26 different languages, broader based media participation, product development.
